Getting around in hospitals is a nightmare. I wanted to use this opportunity to prove to myself and others that it is possible otherwise. When people arrive at a hospital, they want to get to their destination as quickly and as efficiently as possible. The solution starts with color coding the various departments, and continues with placing the various signs in the most appropriate places, so that they are there when you need them, and don't distract when you don't. In addition, the task was for the signage to be an integral part of the architecture of Ada Carmi Architects, and not a "glued on" layer as an afterthought, as is so often the case.
