Ernst Heinrich Philipp August Haeckel was a 19th century German zoologist, best known for his elaborate, intricate and beautiful pencil and watercolor drawings of organisms. I did some simple Midjourney prompt tests with his name and an additional word, like tomato or kiwi. I then tried words having to do with machines (engine, motor, etc.) and started getting very interesting results. These eventually became the basis for my project "Occurrens Mirabilis" which was shown at Jerusalem Design Week in June 2023. The MJ images were animated by Alex Blau, and viewed through small lenses placed around a cylindrical object, making it feel like a science exhibit
